One-night to Rishikesh

So I went to this amazing holy place famous for yoga, Rishikesh. This place has really good vibes and feels so religious. This city is in the Himalayan foothills beside the river Ganges.

Let’s start the journey. So it was around midnight when I and my three friends reached the bus stop at Lal Quila and we were super excited. We booked a sleeper class A/C from www.redbus.in

The bus finally arrived and we loaded our luggage and went to the bus, trust me it was our first time in the sleeper class and it was really good. We 2 slept so comfortably and it was so cool look outside from the window while lying in the bus.

In the morning we arrived at Nepali Farms which was on Haridwar- Rishikesh highway. On that that our luck was so terrible that day the Auto Walas had their strike so there were no autos, basically no public transport. So we decided to book an Ola, the price shown for that was 700 rupees. We decided to wait for some time and ask for a lift. Only 2-3 cars stopped out of like 50? But none of their route matched our destination. Then we called a taxi and in 600 rupees we finally reached our destination, our cottage named ‘Hill Top Swiss Cottages’ we checked in the cottage, it was so premium, so peaceful.

We all sat in the balcony and enjoyed the view of that place. We went to our rooms and changed and decided to go for Ganga Aarti, we all got ready and clicked out some pictures and when we stepped out from our room the rain was started. So we decided to wait for the rain to end but time by time the rain started heavily so we decided to wait for the rain. When the rain finally stopped it was around 9 PM though we missed our Aarti so we all decided to go for dinner. The weather was so fresh and good, we went to the Tat café which was a river eye.

We sat on that balcony and enjoyed our food. We ordered some Falafel, fried rice, paneer tikka and all.

The place was peaceful and the view was super mesmerizing. We then went back to our cottages, the rain started. We were walking towards our cottage then rain was just not stopping, we ran to the cottage and we all were super wet.

DUE TO HEAVY RAINFALL WE STOPPED AT A SHOP

We changed our clothes and wished our friend a very happy birthday and partied all night.

The next morning when we woke up in the hills, unfortunately, packed our luggage and check out from the hotel and went for breakfast and decided to go in auto from there to Nepali Farms.

STILL FROM THE RESORT

I suggested let’s try the restaurant Bhoj Mantra , we sat and when we saw the menu, it was super expensive, so we decided to leave from there but I forced everyone and we order a lot of food, when we asked for the bill we all estimated a particular amount. One said 4000, another said 3000, another said 3700, I said 2700, but the bill was only for 1700. We decided to give the money and surprisingly we went to that place because we thought it’s someone else’s bill. But when we were going out I saw some pastry over there and decide to have some.

IVORY REGION

We had ivory region pastry and trust me that was the best pastry I ever had. Then after that we did auto and went for our bus stop, we sat in the bus and off to Delhi.

We bring nothing to Delhi but lots of memories.
